UHMWPE sheet has incredible abrasion resistance. Its wear resistance surpasses almost any engineering plastics, and it may be one of the best materials for the lining of chutes and hoppers for products such as sand, aggregate and concrete or any other highly abrasive mobile products.
Another important feature is its very low coefficient of friction. It will produce parts with a very long life and very low resistance, which means that very few things will stick to it. It is also resistant to many dilute acids, solvents and cleaning agents.
UHMWPE is a very tough material with high impact strength in any thermoplastic currently manufactured.
